September In-Service Day

Re-scheduled in-service day:

The 2nd in-service day for schools across South Lanarkshire has been agreed as follows:

  • Tuesday, 29 September 2020 

You may recall that the original schedule was to begin the new term with two in-service days, but this had to be changed to one day given the Scottish Government announcement that pupils would begin to return to school from Wednesday 12 August 2020.

The other 3 in-service days remain unchanged giving us 5 in total:

  • Monday, 16 November 2020
  • Wednesday, 10 February 2021
  • Thursday, 6 May 2021

The setting of holiday dates for schools in Scotland requires pupils to attend school for 190 days each year with teachers required to work 195 days, which includes 5 in-service days.

We hope that by sharing this information it will give you some time to plan for these dates when children are not at school.

School Lunches – August 2020

The Summer 2020 Lunch Menu will resume on Monday 17th August 2020, starting that day at Week 2. Please click on the link below to view the menu.

Primary School Lunch Summer Menu

For 12th to 14th August 2020, there will be a temporary menu for that week only. Please click on the link below to view the choices on offer.

Lunch Menu 12th-14th August 2020

Pupils in P1-3 are automatically entitled to a free school lunch and parents do not need to apply for this.

Pupils in P4-7 who pay for a lunch must have money added to their Parent Pay account.  Please contact the School Office from 11th August 2020 onwards if you need any assistance with Parent Pay.  Please note, free school lunch for P4-7 are means tested and parents must apply each year via the South Lanarkshire Website.

Milk is available for purchase daily for 20p.  Children need to bring money to school for this.  At the moment, we are awaiting information if this will resume straight away.  We will provide an update on this as soon as information is received from SLC.
