UNICEF Art Exhibition & Fairtrade Café

A huge thank you to everyone who made it along to our UNICEF Art Exhibition and Fairtrade Café on Friday – we really appreciate your support. I think you will all agree that the children’s artwork was outstanding and they should be extremely proud of themselves. We will upload photographs from the Exhibition soon and will update you with our grand total for UNICEF.

If you couldn’t make it to the Exhibition on Friday and would still like to purchase your child’s artwork, please send £5.00 into school with your child this week and we will send their framed artwork home.

To the parents/carers of the children going on next week’s residential trip!

We are looking forward to seeing all of the children on Monday morning with their suitcases ready for an action-packed week at Ardentinny!

Please remember to bring any medication directly to the School Office on Monday morning where you will be given a form to fill in and the medication will be taken by the accompanying adults.

Children should come in through the front door and can wait with their suitcases in the Gym Hall until they board the bus at approximately 9.15am. Pupils can bring a snack and water for the bus (no fizzy juice please!) and will be provided with lunch when they arrive at Ardentinny.

We will be ‘tweeting’ updates whilst we are away which you can read on our school Twitter page (the Twitter feed is also linked to this website).

Please note as Mrs Macleod is away to Ardentinny, there will be no Homework Club on Monday next week.

Calling all Scientists!

BSABSWRGBHI

The staff Science Development Group are currently organising our annual Science Week which will take place between Monday 16th-Friday 20th March. This year’s Science Week focus will be ‘Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut’ and pupils will be developing their Science knowledge and skills by taking part in a range of space-themed activities and experiments. We have also arranged for Generation Science to come into school to deliver workshops to each class throughout Science Week.

If any of our parents/carers have a background in Science or Technology and would be willing to come into school during Science Week to speak to our pupils then please contact Mrs Turnbull. We would be delighted to hear from you!
