A Message from Mrs Fearnside-Brogan & Mrs Hamilton

Once again we will be celebrating Children in Need at Udston Primary School with an action-packed day of fundraising!! This will be held next Friday on the 17th November.

You are invited to pay £1 to come to school dressed in brightly coloured or spotty clothes.

On the day there will be many different events happening such as Guess the Weight of the Cake, Guess the Teddy Bear’s Birthday, Guess the Sweeties in the Jar, a Spot Hunt and colouring competitions. You can even make your own spotty biscuit. The cost to participate in each event will be 50p. There will be lots of amazing prizes up for grabs.

It would be great if everybody could get involved to raise lots of money for this fantastic cause whilst having lots of fun with your friends!!

untitled

We are planning a new fundraiser for next year and were thinking of having a Treasure Hunt around Easter time.

Pupils and families would be able to search round the school for clues.

We are looking for parents input on when the best time to do this would be.

I would be grateful it you take a little time to let us know what suits you by using the link below by Tuesday 14th November.

Spy Quest at Chatelherault Country Park

dates_for_your_diary-e1360513314170

We have been asked by Hillhouse Library to make families aware of a Spy Quest event taking place towards the end of the school holidays at Chatelherault Country Park on Saturday 13th August 2016. Please read the information below to find out more…

“Spy Quest is an online interactive game for children. The Spy Quest concept won a prestigious ‘John Logie Baird’ award for innovation and was originally launched to entertain children whilst they were on holiday in hotals and resorts worldwide. Spy Quest was then developed and trialled to be used for a context for learning in line with Curriculum for Excellence core skills in Primary and Secondary schools.”
