‘Our Planet’ Project – Week Two

keep in touch

We hope families have enjoyed participating in Week 1 of the ‘Our Planet’ Project. It has been lovely seeing photographs and hearing what children have been learning at home. Parents/carers, we know how difficult it is juggling home learning and trying to manage all of your other day-to-day commitments, especially at such a strange and unsettling time. So, in case you need to hear it – you are doing a great job! The expectation is not for you to recreate formal schooling at home and your child does not need to complete every single activity – it is an opportunity for them to deepen their learning in new and different ways that fit in with family life.

Please remember, we NEED you to keep in touch with your child’s class teacher once a week. This lets us know our families are safe and well. Please still get in touch even if your child hasn’t taken part in any of the school’s suggested home learning activities, class teachers would still love to hear from you!

We have set up a *NEW* Twitter account specifically for pre-entrant families due to join Udston Primary School in August 2020. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be sharing important updates, advice and support to help prepare families for this special milestone.

If you or anyone you know has a child due to start our school in August, please tell them to search for our ‘Udston New Starts’ Twitter account (@UdstonS).

Many thanks and stay safe! :-)

The Week Ahead – 27th March 2017

Ardentinny

We are waving our Primary 7s off on Monday as they embark on an exciting week-long adventure to Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre. Hopefully we got the snow out of the way last week and glorious sunshine awaits us! We will be using the school Twitter account to post updates which you can read near the bottom, right-hand side of the website or by following us on Twitter.

It is business as usual for everyone else at Udston Primary next week before we all stop for a well-earned Easter Break. All after school clubs, with the exception of the P4-7 Drama Club, have now stopped until after Easter. There are also no Library drop-ins at lunchtime until after Easter. We would ask that all children return their Library book next week and hand their book bags into their class teacher for safekeeping. Classes will still be visiting the Library to read for enjoyment but will not take any books home until after Easter.
