What have we been up to?

The Website Committee had a very productive year. They were very busy thinking of fun website competitions to get the whole school involved and excited about our website.

Book Week Scotland ‘Selfie’ Competition!

The children in the committee came up with the brilliant idea of having a Book Week ‘Selfie’ class competition which involved children taking a photograph hiding behind their favourite book. Our winning class, with 19 ‘selfies’, was Room 3 and the children will receive 19 minutes of extra playtime in the MUGA Pitch. Well done to all of the children for taking part – check out our ‘Selfie Wall of Fame’ below!

The children in the Web Committee also organised Christmas and Easter Website Header Competitions. This involved the children deciding on a Christmas and Easter theme for each class which they then had to use to create a drawing. The children voted for their winners and these were displayed on our website at Christmas & Easter time.

This term, we started to learn about a new graphic design software called Serif and had a go at creating our own logos. We also learned how to update the website and upload photographs using WordPress software. In May, the whole school celebrated Walk to School Week and came to school wearing their happiest pair of shoes. Have a look at our ‘Happy Feet Day’ Photo Galleries to see the photographs we uploaded all by ourselves!
