We hope you all had a wonderful break and wish you all a happy and healthy 2019.
On Thursday this week we are having our Pre-Entrant open afternoon between 3.30pm-5.00pm. This is for all Pre-Entrants and their families within our catchment area to have a look around our school and meet informally with the Headteacher, the Senior Management Team, and some of the staff prior to registration.
Next week we are looking forward to registering the children scheduled to start Primary One in August 2019. Families are most welcome to come along to the school between 9.30-10.30am and 1.30-2.30pm from Monday 14th – Thursday 17th January 2019 to register their child.
Please note that it is only the parent/carer of each child who is authorised to register their child to start school. The school requires each child’s full birth certificate and two pieces of recent official documentation to clarify proof of residency.
Extra-curricular activities will start again soon – please keep checking the website/app for more information!

Block 1 starts tomorrow, so please remember your PE kit and a bottle of water!
Following the launch of our ‘Global Goals’ teams last session, we introduced a boot swap initiative as a way of ensuring expensive football footwear which children have outgrown does not go to waste.
Through this scheme, children can bring in old football boots in good condition which no longer fit them with these then becoming available to other pupils. In order to take a pair of boots, children would be encouraged to give a donation or to contribute a pair of boots themselves.
Should the children have any outgrown boots which they wish to contribute, these can be brought to Room 9. Thank you!
It’s been another busy week at Udston. Our P6 Playground Leaders have started their timetable and are working hard to make playtimes and lunchtimes extra fun for everyone!
We are delighted to announce our new P6 House Vice-Captains are Teejay & Holly (Belhaven), Lexie & Matthew Sm (Fleming), Evan & Kacey (Kelvin) and Macy & Erin (Wellcroft).
Our new Sports Captains are Zara (Belhaven), Morgan (Fleming), Jamie (Kelvin) and Adam (Wellcroft)
Our new P6 Sports Vice-Captains are Cameron & Lewis B (Belhaven), Beaux & Callum (Fleming), Zak & Abi (Kelvin) and James and Lewis K (Wellcroft).
Our newly appointed leaders are already showing great enthusiasm and we are looking forward to working with them all throughout the year!
