A Thank You from Education Scotland

As you are aware, we recently welcomed Education Scotland and twelve Dutch Education Professionals into our school. Today we received feedback from our visit which they have asked us to share with our families:

“I would like to thank you and your staff most sincerely for the warm welcome given to the Dutch visitors to Udston Primary School.  The programme you put in place to demonstrate how the children are at the heart of everything you do was clear to see.  They were knowledgeable about the UNCRC articles and were able to evidence real day to day application of these rights.  The children really enjoyed showing the delegates around their school and it was obvious that the Rights of the Child are embedded across the whole school ethos.

The school visits were an important part of the Dutch Study Visit programme;  to exemplify how HWB policy and legislation in Scotland is put into practice, resulting in positive outcomes for learners. The noise level on the bus after the visit was testament to how much they were inspired,  and also how much they enjoyed the visit.

Thank you again for taking the time to share the Udston Primary School learning journey.  This proved to be a significant part of the Dutch Study visit.

Please pass on my grateful thanks to your staff, parents and learners.”
