The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to our school from Monday 5th October – Thursday 8th October. The Book Fair is a great way of encouraging children to use and enjoy books, both fiction and non-fiction.
The School receives commission on any books purchased. We made an incredible £772 in our March Book Fair, our most successful Book Fair yet. This was put towards sets of reading books for our new literacy programme.
Each class will have the opportunity to explore the Book Fair and any child wishing to buy a book, can do so first thing each morning. A magazine has been sent home to allow your child to see some of the books which will be available. You will have a chance to see which books your child is interested in, as they will fill out a Wish List and it will be sent home before Parents’ Night. Parents and Carers will have the opportunity to buy books on Parents’ Night. Whether or not you are buying, the children should enjoy the experience of the Book Fair and no pressure will be put upon either you or your children to buy.
