Hooray! We are back online! We are pleased to inform you that the website is now up and running again – apologies for the lack of updates. We had a really busy first week back and it was lovely seeing the children and hearing all about their festive break.

This week is our Pre-Entrant Registration Week. Parents/carers of children due to start school in August 2018 are most welcome to come into Udston from Monday – Friday between 9.30-10.30am and 1.30-2.30pm. You are required to bring a copy of your child’s full birth certificate and two proof of address letters of the person registering (e.g. Council Tax statement or other suitable utility bills).

If you would like to purchase additional tickets, please write a note with your name, child’s name and class, the number of tickets required and send in the correct money. In the event that requests for tickets are oversubscribed, we will operate a ballot system. Tickets are also still available for our Infant Nativity, ‘Born in a Barn’.

Winter Wishing Tags and Hamper raffle tickets are still available to purchase for 50p each next week.

It’s December!!! We have lots to look forward to this month – the Infant Nativity, Christmas Show, Christmas Parties, Christmas Fayre, and more. Christmas has well and truly arrived at Udston Primary.

Please vote for our brilliant School Choir who are through to the finals of The Regent Shopping Centre School Choir Competition. Please go to www.theregentcentre.com and watch our choir’s performance and cast your vote. The school who receive the highest number of votes will receive a £500 prize –  Vote! Vote! Vote!

Could we please ask all children to return their Library books next week. During their class visits, they will get a chance to browse and read for enjoyment but will not take books home until after Christmas.

Our Winter Wishing Tree Tags go on sale from Monday for 50p. Any child wishing to purchase a tag will get the opportunity to do so during the school day and should take their tag home to decorate and write their wish. Some of the proceeds from this will go to Hillhouse Parish Church to help local families at Christmas.

Many thanks to all families who have paid the £2.00 contribution towards their child’s Christmas Party. We would ask that any outstanding payments are sent into school on Monday. Thanks!

We hope all families enjoyed the September Weekend – it was nice to see a bit of sunshine again! Hopefully everyone is feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for the week ahead.

We all thoroughly enjoyed participating in the whole school ‘Aerob-a-thon’ last Tuesday, the children put in a great deal of effort and there were lots of rosy cheeks when they left the Gym Hall. A big thank you to Mrs Drennan for leading the aerobics sessions!Many thanks also to all families who have returned their ‘Aerob-a-thon’ sponsor sheets and any sponsor money. We would ask that any outstanding sponsor sheets, with or without sponsors, are returned to school by tomorrow at the latest. Thank you!
